This blog contains my professional thoughts as a 20+ year veteran of the CAE industry. The opinions expressed here are my own, however, and should not be attributed to CD-adapco or Siemens.
I grew up in a small town in Southern Indiana, got a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and worked as a “Real Engineer” for a few years in the Automotive space.
By a complete fluke of chance, I joined a CFD startup, Blue Ridge Numerics, as employee #7 and moved into a Sales career. Around the same time, I met a great girl from Rhode Island and resettled in New England.
Since then, I’ve worked at some of the top names in CAE– always learning about new technologies and industries, and always looking for the next big solution to offer my customers.
I’ve explored just about every aspect of CAE simulation, including: CFD, CAD, FEA, 1D MBSE, Casting, Welding, Composites, Optimization, Electromagnetic, Metal Forming, Acoustics, Virtual Reality, Additive Manufacturing, Multi-body Dynamics, and SPDM.
I currently work for Siemens and live in Rhode Island with my wife, 3 kids, and puppy.
